Job summary

Diesel & Electric Vehicle Repairs Pty Ltd is seeking a trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Motor Mechanic to join our Banksmeadow workshop. You will diagnose diesel engines, perform servicing, and repair diesel vehicles and machinery.

We require minimum Certificate III, at least 1 year of automotive experience, and a professional, customer-focused attitude. You will work independently and communicate clearly with the team.

Qualifications

• Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Motor Mechanic (minimum Certificate III).
• At least 1 year of Automotive experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in diesel engines.
• Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on diesel vehicles and machinery.
• Conduct safety inspections and identify potential issues before they become major faults.
• Rebuild, replace, and repair engines, transmissions, fuel systems, brakes, steering, and suspension systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and document findings.
• Complete job cards, service reports, and communicate clearly with the team and customers.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and complies with industry standards, including the disposal of hazardous material and the use of PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
