Booth Transport Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Diesel Motor Mechanic to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. You will ensure roadworthiness, safety, and compliance with manufacturer standards, performing routine servicing and responsive repairs as needed.

The role requires strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, the ability to read technical manuals and schematics, and experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems in heavy vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in diesel engines and related systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and inspections on diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Repair or replace defective engine components, fuel systems, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct engine tune-ups and performance testing.
• Use diagnostic tools and computerized testing equipment to identify faults.
• Dismantle and reassemble engines, transmissions, and other mechanical components.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
• Ensure all work complies with workplace safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment to ensure roadworthiness and operational safety.
• Provide recommendations on maintenance schedules and repairs.
