Job summary

Xpt Software Australia is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our hybrid NSW-based team. The role focuses on business process analysis, requirements gathering and continuous improvement in a digital health context, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.

You will map current and future-state processes, identify gaps and risks, facilitate workshops, and translate business needs into clear technical specifications.

Business Analyst

Location: NSW / ACT / QLD - Hybrid

Contract: Until 30 June 2027 + 2 x 12-month extensions

Citizenship: Australian Citizenship mandatory

Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance

Remote candidates will not be considered.

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst within a digital health environment. Previous digital health or healthcare experience would be highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business analysis, requirements gathering and process improvement activities.
• Map, analyse and redesign current and future-state business processes.
• Identify inefficiencies, risks, duplication, delays and control gaps.
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions with diverse stakeholders.
• Develop process maps, business requirements, options analyses, procedures and implementation plans.
• Support improvement initiatives through planning, delivery and implementation.

About you

• Strong Business Analyst experience with a focus on business process analysis and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated experience developing current and future-state process maps and business requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Confident facilitating workshops with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience within complex service, regulatory or assurance environments highly regarded.
• Digital health or healthcare experience would be advantageous.

UCU/Tablet Device Deployment Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyse, document and manage functional and non-functional requirements throughout the technology delivery and operational lifecycle.
• Support the planning and delivery of a large-scale EUC and tablet roll-out, including requirements associated with device deployment, allocation and operational readiness.
• Support asset tracking and device lifecycle processes, ensuring technology assets can be effectively tracked and managed throughout deployment.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical and non-functional specifications for technology teams.
• Produce detailed BA documentation including user stories, use cases, process flows, functional specifications and requirements traceability.
• Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders, undertake gap analysis and map requirements to system functionality.
• Work closely with Infrastructure & Operations teams across EUC, tablets, networking and associated infrastructure.
• Support site commissioning, large-scale device deployment, technology refresh and go-live readiness activities.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and internal teams, maintaining strong relationships across a multi-supplier environment.
• Support technical teams and business stakeholders throughout design, build, testing, deployment and implementation.
• Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies affecting technology delivery.
• Use Jira, Microsoft Planner or similar tools to manage requirements and track delivery activities.

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, preferably in a global enterprise environment
• Proven experience with document publishing solutions and document management systems
• Experience In Banking Domain
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in business process modeling and requirements management tools
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
• Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent) is a plus
