Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join an agile team, delivering build, release, deployment and configuration activities across applications. You will collaborate with Digital Solutions Group to translate business requirements into scalable, compliant technical solutions.

The role emphasises strong scripting, container orchestration, and cloud deployment, with a broad set of tools and platforms. Location is negotiable across NSW campuses.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or equivalent significant experience in a related field.
• Strong CI/CD and automation experience with Bamboo/Bitbucket/Puppet/Chef/Ansible/Jenkins.
• Experience with infra config and orchestration tools and Docker, Kubernetes, or Nomad.
• Experience deploying services in public cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Proficient in shell scripting and at least one language (Python or Ruby).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement build, release, deployment and configuration activities.
• Collaborate with business and Digital Solutions Group to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards and security controls.
