Job summary

IT Alliance Australia is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a 6-month contract in Sydney. The role focuses on designing and maintaining scalable DevOps platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure cloud security and performance.

You will work with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible, and ELK/EFK stacks, plus Python and Bash scripting. Join a Federal Government client-based team, with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office, 2 days from home).

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining scalable DevOps platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud environments (security, availability and performance).
• Containerisation and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Deployment automation and configuration management with Ansible.
• Monitoring, logging and alerting with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and/or EFK Stack (Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Kibana).
• Scripting and automation in Python and Bash/Shell.
• Secrets and configuration management with HashiCorp Vault.
• DevSecOps and infrastructure-as-code best practices; troubleshooting complex production/infrastructure issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee containerisation and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.

• Manage secrets with HashiCorp Vault and IaC practices.

One of our Federal Government Clients is seeking to engage a Senior DevOps Engineer. This is a long-term contractual position.

Work Location: Sydney (03 Days office/02 Days home per week)

Eligibility: Australian Citizen With Baseline Security Clearance
