Zusammenfassung

Simplot is seeking a Control Systems Programmer to join our Devonport vegetable processing facility in Tasmanian North West. You will support, maintain and enhance automated control systems across the site, ensuring reliable plant operations.

You will lead programming for PLC/SCADA/HMI, with Ignition and Allen-Bradley platforms, contributing to continuous improvement and capital projects within a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifikationen

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or equivalent.

Aufgaben

• Develop, maintain and optimise PLC, SCADA and HMI systems across the site.
• Diagnose and resolve control system faults to minimise downtime and improve plant performance.
• Support the implementation and commissioning of automation and control system projects.
• Identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities through automation and process optimisation.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Production and Maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Maintain control system documentation, backups and change management processes.
• Provide technical support and guidance to site personnel on automation and control systems.
• Participate in capital projects and system upgrades, ensuring compliance with site and corporate standards.
• Support safe work practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
