Job summary

Central Coast Council invites applications for a Planner to assess a diverse range of development applications and provide professional advice on planning, development, property and land use matters. You will work with customers, developers and stakeholders to deliver quality planning outcomes while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Council requirements.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications in Town Planning, Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in development assessment and statutory planning, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant planning legislation and policies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare quality reports and provide professional advice to a range of stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within required timeframes.
  • A commitment to providing excellent customer service and achieving positive community outcomes.
  • A current Class C Driver's Licence.

Job description

As a Planner, you will assess a diverse range of development applications and provide professional advice on planning, development, property and land use matters. You will work collaboratively with customers, developers and stakeholders to deliver quality planning outcomes while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and Council requirements. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Qualifications in Town Planning, Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in development assessment and statutory planning, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant planning legislation and policies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare quality reports and provide professional advice to a range of stakeholders.

  • A current Class C Driver's Licence.

The commencing salary for this position is up to ($104,570.99). Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of ($121,161.2) on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation

  • We have a temporary full-time role available until 30 June 2027.
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
  • We can offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite.
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
