Job summary
Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a Development Engineer to join our team in Rockhampton. You will contribute to shaping the region by delivering high-quality development assessment services across a range of projects, including assessment of Reconfigurations of Lots, Material Change of Use and Operational Works, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and sound engineering principles.

Qualifications
- Bachelor level qualifications in Civil Engineering and/or relevant experience in development assessment, planning, design and construction of municipal infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Planning Act 2016 and applicable technical guidelines.
- Strong report writing and documentation skills.
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to negotiate outcomes and meet tight timeframes.
Responsibilities
- Assess Reconfiguration of Lots, Material Change of Use and Operational Works applications.
- Review engineering designs and technical reports.
- Provide clear, informed advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance.
