Job summary

EBR Ever Better Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Avaloq Developer for a full-time role in Sydney. The successful candidate will implement new features, maintain systems and provide ongoing support to drive business objectives.

You will refine Avaloq code base concepts, evaluate designs from junior staff, and design best-practice solutions while building automated tests and implementing integrations with other systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Avaloq platform.
• Working knowledge of wealth management products and services (payments, CRM, corporate actions, reconciliations, trading, settlement, portfolio management).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in financial services.
• Advanced PL/SQL, Oracle and SQL experience; ACP certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Refine and enforce Avaloq code base concepts.
• Evaluate solution proposals and designs from junior developers and contractors.
• Design and implement best-practice solutions based on business needs.
• Build and maintain automated test cases and testing frameworks.
• Perform unit testing and act as escalation point for monitoring alerts.
• Customise Avaloq Core Platform processes and integration patterns.
• Identify risks with changes to the system and advise on mitigations.
• Develop deep technical knowledge across multiple functional areas.
• Provide second-level incident management support.
