Job summary

An Australia-based financial services firm is seeking an enthusiastic Avaloq Developer to join their team in a full-time role in Sydney. You will refine and enforce Avaloq codebase concepts, design processes, and build automated test cases, while providing second-level support and monitoring of development quality.

You will need at least 2 years’ experience with Avaloq, strong PL/SQL, Oracle and SQL skills, and knowledge of wealth management products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Avaloq platform.
• Experience with wealth management products and services such as payments, CRM, corporate actions, reconciliations, trading, settlement, and portfolio management.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in financial services.
• Advanced PL/SQL, Oracle and SQL experience.
• ACP certification (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Refining and enforcing Avaloq code base concepts.
• Evaluating solution proposals and design from junior developers and contractors.
• Constructing best practice solutions and designing processes based on business needs.
• Building automated test cases and maintaining automated testing.
• Performing unit testing and serving as escalation point for monitoring alerts.
• Customising Avaloq Core Platform processes.
• Identifying risks with changes to the system.
• Defining integration patterns to other systems.
• Developing deep technical knowledge across functional areas.
• Providing second level support for incident management.
• Monitoring the quality of contracted developer code.
• Gauging/rating development effort.

As an Avaloq developer, you will be tasked with implementing newfeatures, maintenance and providing ongoing support to help the businessachieve its strategic objectives.

What you’ll be doing:

• You will be responsible for refining andenforcing Avaloq code base concepts
