ASC is seeking multiple Mechanical Designers/Drafters to join the Platform Design team. You will apply mechanical design and drafting expertise to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for submarine systems, supporting integration of new and updated designs across platforms with opportunities to grow in a specialised environment.

ASC is Australia’s submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats’ service lives. ASC will also provide sustainment support for visiting US and UK submarines.
We have also been selected as the Australian Government’s Sovereign Submarine Partner to sustain and jointly build conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarines in Australia – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history.

In these roles you will apply your mechanical design and drafting expertise to deliver high-quality engineering solutions to support the integration of new and updated designs across a wide range of submarine systems.
These positions also provide an excellent pathway into engineering, offering opportunities to further develop technical skills and broaden professional experience within a highly specialised environment.
This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.
Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
