Job summary

anzuk on the Sunshine Coast seeks a passionate Technologies Teacher to join a leading co-educational college on a permanent, full-time basis. You will deliver design lessons, foster creativity and critical thinking, and collaborate across the Technologies Department to enrich student learning.

Ideal candidates will have a tertiary teaching qualification, QCT registration, and a collaborative, student-centered approach with strong communication and classroom management skills.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience teaching Design across the secondary years, preferably including Senior Design.
• Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and relevant QCAA syllabus requirements.
• Experience with contemporary design technologies, CAD, 3D modelling/printing, digital fabrication and prototyping.
• Knowledge of materials, tools, equipment and workshop health and safety practices.
• A collaborative, student-centred approach and a commitment to ongoing professional learning.
• Strong communication, organisational and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, contemporary and well-structured Design lessons across the secondary years, including Senior Design.
• Support students to develop creativity, critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills through digital design tools, prototyping and project-based learning.
• Build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.
• Differentiate teaching and assessment to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Contribute to the College's co-curricular program and wider community life.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Technologies Department and across the College.
