Job summary

BESIX Watpac is seeking a Design Manager for our Queensland, Northern Territory & New Zealand Construction team to lead design delivery across multiple projects. You will coordinate consultants, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive constructability with the construction team to optimise delivery.

The role requires collaboration with external consultants, a strong design leadership mindset, and the ability to perform in a dynamic, fast-paced environment across diverse sectors.

Qualifications

• Tertiary Qualification in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering.
• Experience with a principal contractor on large D&C projects from start to finish.
• Ability to collaborate with external consultants for optimal project outcomes.
• Proven track record delivering results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage consultants to deliver high quality design documentation on time and within budget.
• Oversee design review for regulatory and building compliance.
• Collaborate with construction team and subcontractors to drive constructability and efficiencies.
• Contribute to project delivery methodologies and maintain design quality control.
