Mosaic Property Group – Fortitude Valley QLD is seeking a client‑side Design Manager to uphold the Mosaic brand and drive design excellence across multi‑residential projects in Brisbane. You will review designs, lead finishes, and coordinate with development and construction teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 5 years’ post-graduation experience, a Bachelor of Architectural Design, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years post-graduation experience in multi‑residential projects as Project Lead/Design Manager.
  • Design, documentation and on-site delivery experience.
  • Bachelor of Architectural Design.
  • Strong communication with project stakeholders.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Passionate about architecture and place making with a practical design eye.
  • Registered Architect (advantageous, but not required).
  • Interior design experience (advantageous, but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Review designs, documentation and drawings to ensure alignment with Mosaic standards, budgets and design intent.
  • Evaluate apartment layouts and provide recommendations to enhance functionality.
  • Participate in marketing phase activities including reviewing renders, finishes and styling.
  • Lead the selection of finishes and fixtures within quality, aesthetic and budget targets.
  • Conduct milestone site inspections to ensure alignment with design intent and brand standards.
  • Attend site meetings to address design queries and RFIs with construction teams to minimise delays.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and supplier innovations to support high-quality design outcomes.
  • Oversee design and coordination of project wayfinding signage.
  • Collaborate with development, construction and internal teams for cohesive outcomes.
  • Contribute to weekly design workshops and consultant coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

As we continue to shape the urban landscape, we are seeking a skilled and motivated client-side Design Manager to uphold the Mosaic brand and ensure excellence in design and project delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support all stages of the project lifecycle by reviewing and analysing designs, documentation, and drawings to ensure alignment with Mosaic standards, budgets, and design intent.
  • Evaluate apartment layouts and provide recommendations that enhance functionality and overall design outcomes.
  • Participate in marketing‑phase activities, including reviewing renders, finishes, styling, and marketing materials.
  • Lead the selection of finishes and fixtures that balance quality, aesthetics, and budget requirements, and manage the sample review and sign‑off process.
  • Conduct milestone site inspections and provide architectural guidance to ensure works align with design intent, documentation, and brand standards.
  • Attend site meetings to respond to design‑related queries and RFIs, and work proactively with construction teams to minimise delays, rework, and cost impacts.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, supplier innovations, and market developments to support high‑quality, contemporary design outcomes.
  • Oversee the design and coordination of project wayfinding signage.
  • Collaborate closely with development, construction, and other internal teams to achieve cohesive project outcomes.
  • Actively contribute to weekly design and development workshops and assist with consultant coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5 years minimum post‑graduation work experience in multi‑residential projects as a Project Lead / Design Manager, working on design led projects.
  • Design, documentation and site experience
  • Bachelor of Architectural Design
  • Strong communication skills with project stakeholders
  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects
  • Passionate about architecture, interior design and place making with a good, practical, design eye.
  • Registered Architect (advantageous, but not a requirement)
  • Interior Design experience (advantageous, but not a requirement)
