Job summary

TripADeal Pty is seeking a Design Lead to guide our internal design team in conceptualising and producing compelling visuals for core business initiatives. You will foster creative excellence, streamline output, and mentor designers while delivering campaigns that engage TripADeal’s travellers.

The role involves leading brand consistency, translating business goals into design solutions, and elevating the team’s craft through coaching and standard-setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a design team in studio/agency or in-house settings.
• Strong brand leadership with ability to translate business objectives into visual solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; print and digital output knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Champion the brand across marketing channels with compelling assets.
• Ensure visuals adhere to brand guidelines and collaborate with the Creative & Content Manager.
• Translate business objectives into elegant design solutions and optimize workflows.
• Coach designers in art direction, best practices, and execution standards.
• Lead high-quality output across print, digital, web, and video.

Passionate about design execution and growing design talent? As our Design Lead, you will guide our internal design team in conceptualising and producing compelling visuals for our core business initiatives. You’ll foster creative excellence, streamline our design output, and mentor team members while executing key campaigns that connect with TripADeal’s travellers.

Organisational Structure

This role can either be based from our Gold Coast office or Byron Bay Headquarters, with the ability to be flexible working across both offices on an as needed basis.

The position offers flexible working hours between 8:00am to 4:00pm or 9:00am to 5:00pm - you choose! As a 100% on-site business, a full time in-office presence is required in this role to foster connection, collaboration, and results.

A Day in the Life

• Champion our brand's visual identity across all marketing channels, creating compelling assets for digital, print, web, and social platforms that captivate our audience.
• Deliver Brand Consistency. Applying the brands guidelines across all design output, partnering with the Creative & Content Manager to ensure visual consistency without needing to build standards from scratch.
• Translate complex business objectives and stakeholder needs into elegant and effective design solutions, moving beyond pure aesthetics to solve core challenges.
• Leverage your expert knowledge of design software to optimise creative workflows, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver pixel-perfect, high-quality output every time.
• Elevate the team's creative craft by coaching designers in art direction, design best practices, and execution standards to support their professional growth and boost overall team output.

To be a Front Running Candidate

• Demonstrated experience in a studio, agency or in-house environment, consistently producing high-quality print, video, animation and digital collateral.
• Demonstrated leadership in directing a creative team and/or serving as a senior subject matter expert within a team.
• Drives change in order to deliver continuous improvement to the business including ROI and cost savings.
• Experience optimising workflows, ways of working, and project management tools for small in-house design teams.
• Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma with the ability to produce creative across a wide range of mediums including: print, digital, web, video, animation.
• Expert knowledge in all stages of print production including pre-press knowledge.
• The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Qantas background check.
