Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council is seeking a Design Engineer to support and manage the design development of infrastructure within Council’s Capital Works Program. You will collaborate with engineers, designers, stakeholders and external consultants to deliver high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.

The role offers opportunities to grow technical expertise, lead projects and contribute to community infrastructure across a fast-growing region.

Qualifications

• Hold tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience delivering engineering, infrastructure or project-based outcomes in complex environments.
• Proven ability to manage design development and coordinate stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the design development of infrastructure projects within Council's Capital Works Program.
• Prepare design reports, engineering documentation, specifications and project recommendations.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement, design reviews and consultant activities to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Identify project risks and issues, implement mitigation strategies and provide technical engineering advice.
