Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council is seeking a Design Engineer in Nambour to support and manage design development for infrastructure within the Capital Works Program. You will work with engineers, designers, stakeholders and external consultants to deliver high-quality, cost-effective outcomes while expanding your technical and project management expertise.

The role requires Civil Engineering qualifications and experience in managing complex projects.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience delivering engineering or project-based outcomes in a complex environment.
• Strong project management, planning and financial skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the design development of infrastructure projects within Council's Capital Works Program.
• Prepare design reports, engineering documentation, specifications and project recommendations.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement, design reviews and consultant activities to achieve project outcomes.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies with technical guidance.
