Job summary

The Department of Education Victoria seeks qualified classroom teachers for Greenvale Secondary College. The role supports planning, preparing and delivering programs aimed at improving student outcomes and engagement across Year 7 to 11 cohorts.

Teachers will model high-quality practice, mentor colleagues, use data to inform instruction and contribute to school policies. A probationary period and flexible work considerations may apply.

Qualifications

• Provisional or full registration approved by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• Postgraduate level accredited initial teacher education program required for some routes.
• LANTITE literacy and numeracy requirements if ITE completed after 2016.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals and planning lessons.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program evaluation.
• Undertake additional classroom and organisational duties as needed.
• Participate in meetings, parent engagement, camps and excursions.
• Supervise and support student teachers where applicable.
