Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Preston VIC is seeking a classroom teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning for Year 7-12 cohorts in a newly refurbished secondary setting. • Demonstrated experience planning for high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
• Demonstrated experience monitoring and assessing student learning with data-informed feedback.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills across the school community.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with students, parents, colleagues and the broader community.
• Commitment to department values and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;
• Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other program within the school;
• Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal;
• Participating in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions;
• Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
