Job summary

Bluestonerecruitment is partnering with a growing Australian property business to appoint a Design Manager / Interior Designer / Architect for hospitality projects in Melbourne. You will lead design across new builds, refurbishments and fit-outs, guiding concepts to detailed delivery while coordinating with internal teams and external consultants.

• 6+ years' experience in architecture, interior design, hospitality or similar.
• Creative, commercially minded and technically capable designer.

• Experience taking projects through to detailed documentation and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process across new-build, refurbishment and fit-out projects.
• Develop and refine concepts that deliver engaging and commercially viable hospitality environments.
• Take projects from concept through design development and detailed documentation.
• Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and FF&E.
• Prepare and review drawings, 3D models, renders and presentation material.
• Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors and suppliers throughout project delivery.
• Undertake site visits and inspections to ensure design intent is maintained.
• Help develop and improve design standards, guidelines and internal processes.
• Manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining quality and programme.
• Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders across property, construction and operations.

Design Manager - Developer Side / Hospitality Projects

Our client is a successful and growing Australian property business with an established portfolio of hospitality assets and an expanding pipeline of new projects and refurbishments.

They are looking for an experienced Design Manager / Interior Designer / Architect to join their project delivery team and take a leading role in the design of hospitality environments from concept through to delivery.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the design process and wants to see their ideas progress from initial concept through to documentation and construction.

The Opportunity Working closely with internal property and project teams, you will:

• Lead the design process across new-build, refurbishment and fit-out projects.
• Develop and refine concepts that deliver engaging and commercially viable hospitality environments.
• Take projects from concept through design development and detailed documentation.

Our client are looking for a creative, commercially minded and technically capable designer with around 6+ years' experience in architecture, interior design, hospitality or a similar environment.

You will ideally have:

• Experience working across hospitality, retail, commercial interiors or other customer-focused environments.
• Strong concept, spatial planning and design development skills.
• Experience taking projects through to detailed documentation and delivery.
• Strong Revit/AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite skills.
• Experience with rendering/visualisation software such as Enscape, Lumion or similar.
• A strong understanding of materials, finishes and FF&E.
• The ability to balance design quality with budget, programme and practical delivery requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to manage multiple projects.
