Job summary

For Purpose Aged Care is seeking a Deputy Residential Manager to support the Residential Manager in Maryborough. You will lead clinical and care teams, drive quality and safety, and ensure seamless operations in a busy residential setting.

You will bring at least five years in senior management within aged care, possess AHPRA registration, and demonstrate a strong commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care. This role offers growth opportunities across the For Purpose network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Clinical Manager or Quality Manager roles
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role with people management
• Understanding of the Aged Care Act, accreditation requirements and AN-ACC
• Extensive supervision/leadership experience in aged care, preferably residential
• Excellent people management and negotiation skills
• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
• Police Check within 12 months

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the absence of the Residential Manager and support daily operations
• Mentor and develop clinical and care teams to achieve high care standards
• Promote resident- and family-centered care with a focus on safety and quality

The successful applicant will be someone who aspires to one day be a Residential Manager, has superior communication skills, and highly developed clinical skills with a passion for the delivery of exceptional care to residents.

With a passion for resident care and delivering high standards of customer-focused service, you will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will bring a capacity to lead and inspire a team of clinical professionals and care workers and act as a passionate mentor to your team, as this role will be in charge when the Residential Manager is off site or on leave.

Skills and requirements for this role:

• Ideally a minimum of 5 years’ experience in either a Clinical Manager or Quality Manager role
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role that involves people management.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Act, accreditation requirements and AN-ACC
• Highly developed supervision/leadership/management experience in aged care, preferably in a residential setting
• Excellent people management, relationship building and negotiation skills
• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
• Police Check (within 12 months)
