Job summary

Leeming Senior High School is seeking a Deputy Principal - Operations on a 12-month fixed-term, full-time contract commencing Term 1, 2027, with possible extension or permanency. The role focuses on timetabling, student pathways, Compass rollout, reporting to parents, exams, staff development, and NAPLAN programs.

Qualifications

• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
• Eligibility includes Australian/New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency or valid visa for the term of the appointment.
• Hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
• Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
• Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

Responsibilities

• Timetabling (Creation, adjustment, maintenance, Oversight of student and teacher allocation)
• Working with Student Service Managers and the Pathway Manager to ensure students have access to subject pathways which suit their needs
• Kaartdijin rollout (coordination of phased Compass rollout as specified in planning)
• Reporting to parents (assessment outlines SCSA compliance and uploads)
• Exam timetables 10,11/12 (planning, development, rollout)
• Staff PD, whole school (development of whole‑school PD to meet the direction of the school)
• NAPLAN and Specialist program testing
• Line managing a range of Learning Areas, including Performance Development.
• Other identified operational processes to ensure the efficient running of school processes.
