ASIO is seeking an exceptional senior executive to fill the role of Deputy Director-General, Technology Services Delivery. As a member of ASIO's Executive Committee and one of the most senior executive in the organisation, you will be responsible for ensuring technology investments deliver measurable benefits for Australian's and their security, modernising complex service and mission infrastructure, and the leading a large, multi-disciplinary workforce through technology transformation.
Reporting to the Director-General of Security, the Deputy Director-General, Technology Services Delivery leads the end-to-end execution of all of ASIO's technology services. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, implementing and maturing ASIO's pursuit of Artificial Intelligence, successfully navigating transitions to Cloud technology and identifying and driving opportunities to partner more effectively with service providers. Across all activities, you will partner with mission and corporate leaders to ensure fit-for-purpose products and services are delivered and that there is optimised deployment of substantial budgets and workforce resources. Exemplary executive leadership of enterprise-wide organisational and cultural change will be required.

While ASIO officers' identities are protected by law, under section 92 of the ASIO Act, Deputy Directors-General are declared roles. Therefore, to be eligible for this role you must be willing and able to be a declared ASIO officer. This means that should you be appointed to a Deputy Director-General position; you will be publicly identified as an ASIO employee and be required to represent ASIO in engagements like senate estimates, media addresses, public speaking etc.

Employment is under the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation Act 1979. Conditions of service are similar to those applying in the Australian Public Service. We recognise entitlements accrued under the Public Service Act 1999 and provide for continuation of superannuation under the Commonwealth schemes. Salary packaging arrangements are also available.
