Job summary

CDPP is seeking an experienced Deputy Chief Information Officer (EL2) to co-lead the digital transformation of Australia's federal prosecution service. The role reports to the CIO and will drive governance, policy, and innovative ICT initiatives across multiple locations.

The successful candidate will lead high-impact transformations, manage assurance activities, and engage with executive leaders to deliver robust, transparent governance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Extensive technical, professional, and specialist experience at Director level (EL2) in APS governance, performance reporting, and assurance activities.
• A proven track record in leading complex ICT procurement activities.
• Highly developed research and analysis skills; can translate outputs into clear policies and documents.
• Operational understanding of DTA policies and frameworks.
• Outstanding executive leadership, communication, and influence skills with executives.
• Ability to drive high-performance culture through transparent reporting and collaborative leadership.
• Excellent people management, leadership capability and judgement skills.
• High personal drive, initiative, integrity, emotional intelligence, and APS ethics commitment.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex ICT transformations and governance initiatives across the agency.
• Own the operational governance framework and strengthen performance reporting.
