Viking Events is seeking a practical Depot Supervisor to lead the Adelaide depot team and oversee daily operations. You will coordinate a small crew, plan labour and equipment, ensure equipment is ready for delivery, and support event deliveries and installations as needed.

The role involves 75% depot tasks and 25% planning, with emphasis on safety, quality and hands-on involvement. MR or forklift licences are advantageous; training and uniform are provided.

Job description

Viking Events | Para Hills West, South Australia

Viking Events is looking for a practical, hands-on Depot Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our Adelaide depot.

You will coordinate a small crew, allocate daily tasks and ensure vehicles and equipment are ready for upcoming jobs. This is an active role where you will work alongside the team, assist with equipment preparation and repairs, and support event deliveries and installations when required.

The General Manager will handle customer relationships, quoting and broader commercial matters, allowing you to focus on the crew, depot organisation, safety and reliable job delivery.

Key responsibilities

Lead the daily depot team and allocate clear tasks

Plan the labour, vehicles and equipment required for upcoming jobs

Ensure hire equipment is prepared, maintained and ready for delivery

Work alongside the crew with loading, basic repairs and general depot tasks (75% depot/25% planning)

Coordinate event deliveries, installations and collections

Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised depot

You may also assist with driving and on-site event operations when required.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a practical supervisor who can give clear direction, organise daily work and lead from the front.

The right person will have:

Experience leading a small team in a hands-on environment

Good planning and organisational skills

Practical ability with tools, equipment and basic repairs

Clear and respectful communication

A strong focus on safety and quality

Basic computer skills, including email and job records

Good physical fitness for an active role

The right to work in Australia

Experience in equipment hire, transport, construction, waste services, farming, warehousing or events would be useful but is not essential.

An MR truck licence or forklift licence would be an advantage.
