Job summary

Scorcott Pty Ltd in Toowoomba is seeking a capable, hands-on person to join our depot team. The role is full-time and depot-based, working alongside the Depot Supervisor to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

You will assist drivers, move freight, scan and sort items, and maintain an organised depot floor. The ideal candidate holds a forklift licence, a current car licence, and is reliable, proactive, and comfortable with new systems.

Qualifications

Must hold a current forklift licence.
Must hold a current car driver licence.
Be physically fit and capable of regular manual handling.
Have good literacy and numeracy skills.
Have good organisational and communication skills.
Be confident with technology and willing to learn new systems.
Be reliable, proactive and able to use initiative.
Able to work independently as well as effectively with other team members.
An LR, MR or HR truck licence would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Responsibilities

Assist drivers to unload and reload vehicles.
Move freight around the depot manually and by forklift.
Scan and sort freight.
Help maintain an organised and efficient depot floor.
Work closely with the Depot Supervisor, other team members and the business owners.
Communicate well with drivers, customers and other team members.
