Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience as a Dental Technician.
• Experience in fixed and/or removable prosthetics.
• Mentor junior technicians or support staff.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, modify and repair prosthetics and appliances including crowns, bridges and dentures.
• Interpret dental prescriptions, impressions, intra-oral scans and treatment plans.
• Select and work with ceramics, acrylics, metals, zirconia and composites.
• Operate and maintain dental laboratory equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure prosthetic work meets clinical, regulatory and infection-control standards.
• Collaborate with dentists and clinical staff to meet patient needs.
• Maintain accurate case records and material traceability.
• Comply with WHS and Australian dental standards.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Technician to join our friendly and supportive team in a full-time position. The successful candidate will work closely with dentists and clinical staff to produce high-quality dental prosthetics and appliances in accordance with industry standards and clinical requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Designing, fabricating, modifying, and repairing dental prosthetics and appliances, temporary crowns, bridges, dentures, mouthguards, splints, and orthodontic appliances
• Interpreting and following written and digital dental prescriptions, impressions, intra-oral scans, and treatment plans provided by dentists
• Selecting, handling, and working with a wide range of dental materials including ceramics, acrylics, metals, zirconia, and composite materials
• Operating and maintaining dental laboratory equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensuring all prosthetic work meets functional, aesthetic, infection control, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance standards
• Liaising and collaborating with dentists and clinical team members to ensure prostheses meet clinical and patient requirements
• Maintaining accurate case records, production documentation, and material traceability
• Complying with workplace health and safety, infection control, and relevant Australian dental and regulatory standards

Skills and Experience

• Relevant qualification in dental technology or a related field (Certificate IV, Diploma, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience as a Dental Technician
• Experience in fixed and/or removable prosthetics
• Demonstrated ability to take a leadership role in guiding, mentoring, and training junior technicians or other clinical support staff
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a friendly, collaborative team
• Good communication skills with the ability to provide clear instruction and feedback
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
