Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene recognised by the Dental Board of Australia.
• Registration with the Dental Board of Australia (AHPRA).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat periodontal conditions, including taking a health history and dental charting
• Work in partnership with the dentists in diagnosis and treatment planning of patients to maintain or restore oral health
• Administer local anaesthetic, dental radiographs and digital scans
• Assist in providing orthodontic treatment (braces and clear aligners) - training provided
• Communicate and educate patients on oral hygiene and prevention strategies
• Supervisory and training responsibilities to dental assistants

Education

Skills and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene (or equivalent) that is recognised by the Dental Board of Australia
• Registration with the Dental Board of Australia (AHPRA)

We are a growing practice, using State-of-the-art Dental Operatory Equipment & Design e.g. Digital Radiography (including in-house OPG unit), Intraoral Cameras, Digital Scanner.
