Job summary

Bupa Dental St Ives is looking for a Dental Assistant to support safe, high‑quality dental care and patient outcomes. Two part‑time permanent roles: Role 1 on Tue & Wed, Role 2 on Thu & Fri, 8:45AM–5:45PM, with focus on chair‑side support, infection control, room sterilisation, and efficient patient flow.

Preferred is Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting, but not essential. Applicants should be prepared to learn, collaborate, and maintain high standards of hygiene and administration.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Dental Assistant, or willingness to learn.
• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong chair-side assistance skills, including instrument handling, suction, mixing materials, assisting with X-rays, and knowledge of dental instrumentation.
• Ability to clean, prepare, and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment in line with infection control standards, BDC procedures, and WHS requirements.
• Organisational and administrative skills to support appointment scheduling, with a reliable, accountable approach to work and service quality standards.

Responsibilities
