Job summary

Sailors Bay Dentistry is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to support delivery of high-quality dental care. You will assist with clinical procedures, manage infection control, sterilise equipment, and keep treatment rooms ready for patients.

Experience as a Dental Assistant or willingness to learn is valued; Certificate III or IV is highly regarded but not essential. The role operates on Wednesdays and Fridays, with opportunities to grow within the practice.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Dental Assistant or willingness to learn (Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting highly regarded but not essential).
• Strong chair-side assistance skills and knowledge of dental instrumentation.
• Ability to clean, prepare and maintain treatment rooms in line with infection control standards and WHS requirements.
• Organisational and administrative skills to support appointment scheduling and service quality.

The purpose of this job is.

To support the delivery of safe, high-quality dental care and positive patient outcomes. The Dental Assistant assists with clinical procedures, maintains infection control standards, ensures equipment is properly sterilised, and keeps treatment rooms clean, organised, and ready for patient care.

• Experience working as a Dental Assistant, or a genuine willingness to learn (Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting highly regarded but not essential).

• Strong chair-side assistance skills, including instrument handling, suction, mixing materials, assisting with X-rays, and knowledge of dental instrumentation.
• Ability to clean, prepare, and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment in line with infection control standards, BDC procedures, and WHS requirements.
• Organisational and administrative skills to support appointment scheduling, with a reliable, accountable approach to work and service quality standards.
