Job summary

Maven Dental Punchbowl is hiring a Casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist to support both clinical and front-of-house duties. You’ll chairside assist with dental procedures and manage reception tasks, appointments and patient experience.

The role requires a proactive, friendly attitude and the ability to switch between clinical and administrative tasks across a busy practice within the Abano Healthcare Network.

Qualifications

Looking for a casual dental role with the opportunity to use more of your skills?

Join Maven Dental Punchbowl as a Casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist and support the practice across both clinical and front-of-house duties. You’ll work alongside the dental team chairside while also supporting patients with appointments, enquiries and their experience at reception.

We’re looking for someone who is confident, approachable and adaptable, with the ability to move comfortably between clinical and reception duties.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing confident chairside assistance across a range of dental procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and equipment
• Maintaining high standards of sterilisation and infection control
• Welcoming patients and providing friendly, professional service
• Managing appointment bookings, patient enquiries and front-desk administration
• Supporting patient payments and general practice administration
• Assisting with stock control and ordering clinical supplies
• Working closely with the wider team to keep the practice running smoothly

Qualifications

You’ll be someone who is comfortable working with patients, takes pride in your work and can confidently switch between clinical and reception responsibilities.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant and/or Dental Receptionist
• A Certificate III in Dental Assisting (highly regarded but not essential)
• Strong computer skills, with experience using Oasis softwarebeing advantageous
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A professional, friendly, and patient-focused approach
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to the changing needs of the practice
• A positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn
