Department of Health’s Oral Health Services Tasmania is seeking a Dental Assistant to join the North-West team. You will provide chairside support, uphold infection control standards, prepare instruments, manage appointments and records, and contribute to a safe clinical environment while assisting in the training of junior staff.

The successful candidate should have chairside experience, infection control knowledge, and strong communication skills, with a positive team outlook toward patient

Qualifications

• Chairside dental assisting experience.
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation standards.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A positive, team-focused approach to patient care.
• Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification.
• Working with Children Registration.

Responsabilités

• Provide chairside dental assisting and support dental clinicians.
• Maintain infection control and sterilisation practices.
• Prepare equipment and materials for procedures.
• Maintain clinical records and manage appointments.
• Support a safe, efficient clinical environment.
• Train and support less experienced staff.
