Job summary

Sailors Bay Dentistry in Sydney is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to support the delivery of safe, high-quality dental care. You’ll assist with clinical procedures, manage chair-side tasks, and help maintain infection control standards in a busy practice.

Experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting valued but not essential. The role also requires cleaning, organising treatment rooms, and preparing instruments for patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Dental Assistant, or willingness to learn (Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting highly regarded but not essential).
• Strong chair-side assistance skills, instrument handling, suction, mixing materials, assisting with X-rays, and knowledge of dental instrumentation.
• Ability to clean, prepare, and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment per infection control standards.

The purpose of this job is.

To support the delivery of safe, high-quality dental care and positive patient outcomes. The Dental Assistant assists with clinical procedures, maintains infection control standards, ensures equipment is properly sterilised, and keeps treatment rooms clean, organised, and ready for patient care.

• Experience working as a Dental Assistant, or a genuine willingness to learn (Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting highly regarded but not essential).

• Strong chair-side assistance skills, including instrument handling, suction, mixing materials, assisting with X-rays, and knowledge of dental instrumentation.
• Ability to clean, prepare, and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment in line with infection control standards, BDC procedures, and WHS requirements.
