Job summary

Maven Dental Burwood is seeking a Casual Dental Assistant to provide chairside support and maintain high standards of infection control. You will assist clinicians across patient appointments and help create a positive experience for every patient.

Ideal candidates have Cert III/IV in Dental Assisting (or similar), strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is advantageous.
• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology with ongoing training provided.
• Excellent communication and patient-focused approach.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Experience using dental software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and attentive chairside assistance to clinicians.
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient appointments.
• Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Follow infection control and sterilisation procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic clinical environment.
• Support stock control and ensure clinical supplies are maintained.

Job Description

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll work closely with our experienced clinicians to provide quality chairside support throughout patient appointments. You’ll also play an important role in maintaining high standards of sterilisation, infection control and clinical presentation.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide efficient and attentive chairside assistance to clinicians.
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient appointments.
• Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Follow infection control and sterilisation procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic clinical environment.
• Support stock control and ensure clinical supplies are maintained.
