Job summary

Hallett Cove Dental is seeking a casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our friendly team in Hallett Cove, Adelaide. This role blends chairside dental assisting with front desk duties, with training provided where needed.

You’ll work closely with dentists and frontline staff to deliver patient-centred care and keep daily operations running smoothly. We value a positive attitude, reliability, and genuine care for patients.

Qualifications

• Previous dental reception or assisting experience (preferred), or a strong willingness to learn and start your dental career
• A Certificate III in Dental Assisting or higher (preferred)
• A current Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one (essential)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A reliable, organised approach and the ability to manage a busy clinic day
• A positive attitude and a team-first mindset
• A genuine commitment to looking after patients

Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting across a variety of dental procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising instruments in accordance with infection control standards
• Providing exceptional patient care and ensuring patients feel comfortable throughout their visit
• Welcoming patients and managing check-in and check-out processes
• Scheduling appointments and recalls and managing phone enquiries
• Processing payments, HICAPS claims and health fund enquiries
• Maintaining accurate clinical records
• Assisting with stock control and general clinical duties
• Working collaboratively with the wider practice team to ensure the smooth running of the clinic
