Job summary

HCF in Bondi Junction is seeking a Dental Assistant to work with dentists and the Practice Manager to deliver high-quality patient care. The role ensures compliance with the Dental Quality Management System and smooth daily operations at Bondi Dental Center.

It is a full-time maximum term position until 1 Sept 2027, based at Bondi Junction Dental Center, 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri). You will assist with chair-side duties, sterilisation, and patient coordination while upholding WHS and infection

Qualifications

• Must have prior dental knowledge and experience.
• Neat appearance and sound personal hygiene.
• High level of confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assistance to dentists and ensure patient comfort.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised clinical environment per HCF policies.
• Monitor patient day sheets and prepare for patient lists; assist with emergencies.
• Coordinate patient flow, escort and settle patients for treatment.
• Assist with chair-side duties: instrument setup, material mixing, data entry, radiograph development.
• Uphold infection control standards and manage surgery changeover and stock maintenance.
• Sterilise instruments, manage stock levels and validate cycles.
• Report hazards or unsafe conditions and participate in WHS activities.
