Health Bridge Services Pty Ltd in Galston, NSW, is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant to support clinicians and enhance the patient experience. You will help prepare rooms, maintain sterilisation, and ensure high standards of infection control in a busy clinic.

Formación

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is highly regarded.
• Certificate III in Dental Assisting desirable but not essential.
• Experience in sterilisation and infection control procedures is desirable.
• Familiarity with dental practice management software is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Australian infection control standards and record-keeping.

Responsabilidades

• Assist dentists during general dental procedures and treatments.

• Clean, disinfect and sterilise dental instruments per Australian standards.
• Provide chairside assistance and ensure patient comfort.
• Prepare and maintain dental materials, instruments and supplies.
• Maintain patient records and assist with documentation.
• Support appointment scheduling and reception duties when required.
• Monitor dental stock and assist with ordering supplies.
• Collaborate with dentists and team for smooth daily operations.

About the Role

As a Dental Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting our dental practitioners and ensuring patients receive a comfortable, positive and professional experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting dentists during general dental procedures and treatments.
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments and equipment before and after appointments.
• Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control, sterilisation and hygiene.
• Cleaning, disinfecting and sterilising dental instruments in accordance with Australian infection control standards.
• Providing chairside assistance and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatment.
• Preparing and maintaining dental materials, instruments and supplies.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and assisting with clinical documentation.
• Supporting appointment scheduling, patient enquiries and reception duties when required.
• Monitoring dental stock and assisting with ordering supplies.
• Working collaboratively with dentists and other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is highly regarded.
• Certificate III in Dental Assisting is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in dental instrument cleaning, sterilisation and infection control procedures is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of sterilisation equipment, including autoclaves, and correct instrument processing procedures.
• Understanding of Australian infection prevention and control standards, including sterilisation protocols and record-keeping requirements.
• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments and chairside assisting techniques is advantageous.
• Familiarity with dental practice management software is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic clinical environment.
