Job summary

Primary Dental in Sydney is seeking a Casual Dental Assistant to join our Maroubra clinic and provide chairside support across a range of procedures. You will deliver patient care with a friendly, efficient approach in a busy practice.

The role offers on-site work with ongoing training, career development, and staff benefits. A Cert III in Dental Assisting or 3+ years of experience is preferred, and strong communication is essential to support dentists and patients.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills required.

• Cert III in Dental Assisting or 3+ years of dental assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside dental assistance to Dentists.
• Instrument reprocessing and sterilisation procedures.
• Advise patients on care.
• Maintain compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Answer telephone calls and enquiries; provide administration support.

The Role

We are looking for a Casual Dental Assistant to join our dental team in Maroubra where you will provide exceptional patient care and chairside dental assistance in a variety of dental procedures. This is a busy, fast-paced role where you will be given the opportunity to further develop your dental knowledge and skills by our supportive team.

The Responsibilities

• Providing all aspects of chairside dental assistance to our Dentists
• Delivering exceptional dental care and excellent customer service
• Instrument reprocessing and sterilisation procedures
• Advising patients of care
• Fostering professional working relationships with team members, patients and medical staff
• Maintaining compliance with organisational policies and procedures
• Answering telephone calls and enquiries
• Administration support

The Successful Candidates

• Possess excellent communication skills
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Have a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
• Possess a Cert III in Dental Assisting and/or have three or more years’ dental assisting experience preferred
