Job summary

John Street Dental is a modern, family-friendly practice in Queensland seeking a compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This casual role combines chairside clinical work with front office duties, supporting the clinical team and delivering exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting preferred.
• Minimum 12 months' experience in a private dental practice preferred.
• Flexible to occasional late evenings as required.

About the Role

This varied position combines chairside dental assisting with front office and reception responsibilities. You will play an important role in ensuring every patient receives outstanding care while supporting the clinical team and contributing to the smooth day to day operation of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

As a Dental Assistant, you will:

• Provide high-quality chairside assistance across a range of dental procedures.

• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain exceptional infection control standards.

• Welcome patients and create a friendly, professional first impression.

• Coordinate appointments and manage the daily appointment schedule.

• Assist with patient enquiries both in person and over the phone.

• Maintain accurate patient records and administrative documentation.

• Support the clinical and reception teams to ensure efficient daily operations.

• Build positive relationships with patients and help create a comfortable, caring environment.

• Contribute to a collaborative team culture focused on exceptional patient care.
