Kingston Beach Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our dedicated Kingston Beach team in Tasmania. This 4-day-per-week role supports patient care, sterile technique, and collaborative practice in a modern, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: greet patients, prepare them for procedures and ensure comfort.
• Clinical Support: prepare/sterilise instruments, assist dentist during exams.
• Inventory Management: monitor supplies and keep the room stocked.
• Patient Education: provide post-operative care instructions and oral hygiene advice.
• Team Collaboration: work with dentists, hygienists and staff for smooth workflow.
• Compliance: follow safety/infection control protocols and regulations.

About The Position

We are looking for a Dental Assistant to join the dedicated team at Kingston Beach Dental. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, genuinely cares about creating a positive patient experience, and enjoys being part of a supportive team environment where everyone looks out for each other.

With exposure to a range of general and cosmetic procedures, including Invisalign, this role provides the opportunity to continue developing your skills within a modern and patient-focused practice.

This is a 4-day-per-week position, offering the chance to become a valued member of our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
• Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.
• Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
• Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
• Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.
