Job summary

Vogue Dental Studios on the Gold Coast invites a motivated Clinical Dental Assistant to join our cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry team. This casual role sits in Mermaid Beach with 25–40 hours per week and potential move to full-time for the right candidate.

Immediate start preferred, but negotiable. You will support dentists across general, cosmetic, implant and surgical procedures, ensure smooth daily clinical operations, and contribute to an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the dental industry preferred.
• Fluent English with good communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Experience with dental practice management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair-side assistance across general, cosmetic, implant and surgical procedures.
• Anticipate dentist needs and deliver efficient clinical support.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming patient environment and follow infection control protocols.
• Assist with patient records, including clinical photography and intraoral scanning; training can be provided.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment and rooms.
• Manage clinical stock levels and assist with orders.
• Support with basic laboratory work (retainers, mouthguards, night splints).
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth clinical operations.

Dental Assistant

Vogue Dental Studios is a leading provider of cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry in Australia. Located in our state-of-the-art clinic in Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast, we are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and professional Clinical Dental Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team on a casual basis.

This position offers 25–40 hours per week, with the opportunity to transition to a full-time position for the right candidate. An immediate start is preferred, although we are happy to negotiate for the right person.

About the Role

As a valued member of our clinical team, you will play an important role in supporting our dentists, ensuring efficient day-to-day clinical operations, and delivering an exceptional experience for every patient.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, efficient chair-side assistance across general, cosmetic, implant, and surgical procedures, including single implants and All-on-4 treatments.
• Anticipate the needs of the dentist and provide attentive, efficient clinical support.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
• Follow strict infection control and sterilisation protocols at all times.
• Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS/OH&S) requirements.
• Assist with patient records, including clinical photography and intraoral scanning. Experience with intraoral scanners is highly regarded, although training can be provided.
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of dental instruments, equipment, and surgery rooms.
• Manage clinical stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.
• Complete basic laboratory work, including retainers, mouthguards, and night splints. Training will be provided where required.
• Work collaboratively within our small, supportive team to ensure smooth clinical operations.

Dental Administration

When required, assist with administrative and reception duties, including:

• Answering phone enquiries and assisting patients.
• Managing appointment bookings and scheduling.
• Processing patient payments.
• Responding to emails and general enquiries.
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day administrative tasks.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience working within the dental industry (highly regarded).
• Excellent communication and listening skills, with fluent spoken English.
• Strong computer skills and confidence learning new systems.
• Experience with dental practice management software (preferred).
• A positive, professional, and friendly approach to patient care.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• A high level of attention to detail.
• The ability to multitask, prioritise, and remain calm and effective in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• A willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute positively to the team.
