Job summary

Ayers Rock Resort is seeking a Demi Chef to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT, a short drive from Uluru. You must hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) and have a minimum of 2 years post-apprenticeship kitchen experience in large restaurants, hotels or resorts.

Responsibilities include kitchen and service duties, following running sheets, and assisting in supervising junior staff. Relocation support and staff benefits are offered.

An Epic Icon needs an Epic Team! Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Demi Chef to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.

We are seeking a passionate and Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) qualified individual who is driven and focused with a desire to learn and succeed in a culinary/hospitality career. You will have minimum 2 years post apprenticeship experience working in a kitchen team within large restaurants, events, hotels or resorts, to working with a group of like-minded legends. A la carte and buffet experience will be highly regarded, HACCP training is advantageous.

Key Duties

• Undertake all kitchen and service duties including cleaning, food preparation, basic cookery, organisation and guest service;
• Understand and follow the running sheets for setting up the different sections for both morning and night service;
• Assist in the supervision of junior kitchen staff by providing instruction of duties; and
• Assist in the running of sections in the kitchen during the absence of the Chef De Partie.
