Job summary

Pullman Sydney Hyde Park is seeking a Casual Demi Chef to join our dynamic kitchen brigade. Located in the heart of Sydney overlooking Hyde Park, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences across our restaurant, bar, room service, and event operations.

As part of the team you will work closely with the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef and Executive Chef to deliver exceptional experiences, maintain HACCP standards, and support a busy service with a focus on quality and guest

Qualifications

• A foundational understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Previous experience in a hotel or fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Culinary trade qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver food across breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions and buffet in line with recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and well-organised workspace, oversee stock rotation, reduce waste and maintain equipment.
• Efficiently run an assigned section, support apprentices and junior team members, and assist the Chef on duty.
• Monitor daily food and supply requirements, coordinate with supervisors on ordering and follow food safety regulations.
