Job summary

Dementia Support Australia (DSA) is hiring a Dementia Support Coach to work from our Malvern office in a Hybrid role. You will support staff and carers, deliver evidence-based dementia coaching, and help implement personalised care plans under HACDSP.

The role requires strong organisational and customer-service skills, a current driver’s licence, and willingness to travel intrastate and interstate. It is a fixed-term contract through June 2028 with opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational abilities, including effective time management and prioritisation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to customer service excellence, including conflict resolution.
• Current driver’s licence and safe driving record.
• Willingness to travel intrastate and interstate to support services.
• Qualification in allied health or aged care is highly desirable.

This role sits within Dementia Support Australia (DSA), which is a national dementia support service, funded by the Australian Government, led by HammondCare. As a professional coach, you will work in diverse care settings, through the Hospital to Aged Care Dementia Support Program (HACDSP) – a service delivered by Dementia Support Australia. In this wholesome and holistic role, you can use your empathy, coaching skills and aged care experience; to deliver hands-on, evidence-based dementia support and advice to clients, carers and care staff.
