Job description

  • Develop and maintain an accurate demand forecast for the ANZ region, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to gather input for demand planning processes.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize forecast errors.

2. Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory performance, including stock levels, aging inventory, and slow-moving products.
  • Implement strategies to minimize stock-outs and reduce excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Drive continuous improvement in inventory turnover rates and working capital.

3. Supply Chain Coordination:

  • Work closely with supply planning teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and stock availability.
  • Identify and address potential supply chain bottlenecks or risks proactively.
  • Support cross-functional S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings to ensure supply and demand alignment.

4. Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyze historical sales trends, market conditions, and promotional impacts to enhance demand planning models.
  • Provide regular demand planning reports and insights to senior leadership for decision-making.

5. Process Optimization:

  • Continuously improve demand planning processes and tools to support business growth and efficiency.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives within demand planning to enhance automation and accuracy.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Education & Experience:

  • Technical expertise in demand planning forecasting or similar within a chemical distribution industry.
  • Multi-industry segments experience with proven ability to manage demand forecast and planning across a region.
  • Substantial experience in forecasting, demand planning methodology & strategy, data analysis, planning and reporting.
  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Regional or multi-country experience, especially in the ANZ region, is highly preferred.
  • Strong in stakeholder management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in demand planning software/tools. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams across the region.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of accuracy.

3. Technical Knowledge:

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Power Query, & PowerBI.
  • Familiarity with S&OP processes and principles.
