Job summary

Transgrid's Delivery Optimisation team seeks a Delivery Optimisation Business Analyst to turn data and insights into practical improvements that boost operational performance across critical infrastructure.

The role partners with operational leaders and frontline teams to identify opportunities, build dashboards, and support workforce planning with robust analytics, governance and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience with large and complex datasets in operational/enterprise environments.
• Advanced Power BI capabilities for dashboards and reporting.
• Solid understanding of data governance and data quality processes.
• Ability to investigate problems, challenge assumptions and present evidence-based recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience gathering requirements and facilitating workshops to translate needs into solutions.
• Proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to work autonomously across stakeholder groups.
• Comfort operating in evolving environments with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Analyse complex operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Build, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards for decision-making across levels.
• Collaborate with frontline teams and stakeholders to understand challenges and translate needs into solutions.
• Facilitate workshops to uncover opportunities to improve systems and processes.
• Work with technology teams and vendors to support enhancements and continuous improvement.
• Investigate data quality issues and validate insights for accuracy and actionability.
• Contribute to workforce planning, resource optimization and reporting initiatives.
• Support adoption of new tools and reporting through stakeholder engagement and training.
