ProFound People is seeking a Delivery Engineering Manager in Canberra for the AIR6500-1 program. The contract runs to 30 June 2027, onsite in Canberra ACT, at $1,100–$1,200 per day plus GST.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Engineering Manager to plan the engineering approach and estimate WBS, schedule, and resources.
• Collaborate with the Strategic Partner Engagement Engineering Manager and the Agile Development Team to align capability delivery plans with the Capability Delivery Roadmap.
• Lead Matrix Leads to maintain a complete, prioritized product backlog aligned to the Capability Target State.
• Coordinate with the Capability Manager and participate in scope management forums to mitigate risk to fitness for purpose.
• Identify and assess Technical Risk and advise the Chief Engineer.
• Review plans, reports, and artefacts as directed by the Project Manager.
• Manage relationships with other Program Engineering leads and external stakeholders.

Delivery Engineering Manager - AIR6500-1 (JABMS)

Canberra ACT | Contract to 30 June 2027 | $1,100-$1,200/day | PV clearance required

Seeking a Delivery Engineering Manager to join the AIR6500-1 program in Canberra. AIR6500-1 is delivering the ADF's Joint Air Battle Management System. This seat sits inside the program's engineering function, reporting to the Project Manager for the planning and delivery of JABMS capability within quality, cost and schedule constraints, and to the Program Chief Engineer for compliance with the program's engineering governance and assurance framework.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the Project Engineering Manager to formulate the engineering approach, and undertaking the detailed planning and estimating that establishes the engineering work breakdown structure, project schedule and resource assignment
• Working with the Strategic Partner Engagement Engineering Manager and the Agile Development Team on development, review and continuous improvement of the Strategic Partner's capability delivery plans, and overseeing implementation so Materiel Releases stay consistent with the approved Capability Delivery Roadmap
• Leading and directing Matrix Leads to keep the product backlog complete and correctly prioritised against the relevant Capability Target State
• Liaising with the Capability Manager team and coordinating involvement in scope management forums (ERB, PTRB) to mitigate risk to fitness for purpose
• Identifying and assessing Technical Risk across the project, supporting the Project Engineering Manager on risk management and advising the Chief Engineer
• Reviewing and assessing plans, reports, procedures and artefacts as directed by the Project Manager
• Managing relationships and communications with other Program Engineering leads and external stakeholders
