Job summary

Mr Iceman is seeking a Delivery Driver to securely and promptly deliver cocktail ice, packaged ice and dry ice across the Penrith delivery network. The role places you at the customer's door as the face of the company, protecting product quality and contributing to a positive customer relationship.

You will load the vehicle with the dispatch team, maintain cold-chain during transit and obtain proof of delivery for every drop.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Australian driver's licence (Class C).
• Experience in commercial delivery driving, preferably food/beverage or temperature-controlled products.
• Strong load restraint and manual handling awareness.
• Comfort using smartphone/navigation and proof of delivery apps.
• Punctual, reliable and able to start early shifts.
• Right to work in Australia.
• Forklift experience desirable.

Job description

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely and professional delivery of Mr Iceman's products — including cocktail ice, packaged ice and dry ice — to customers across our delivery network. Drivers are the face of Mr Iceman at the customer's door, and play a critical role in protecting product quality, vehicle safety, and the customer relationship.

Key responsibilities

Assist the dispatch team to load the vehicle correctly at the start of each shift, checking product type, quantity and condition against the run sheet

Complete assigned delivery runs each shift in line with the run sheet, delivery windows and sequence provided by Dispatch

Maintain the cold chain at all times — ensure freezer compartments are operating at the correct temperature and that product is not left exposed

Deliver product to the correct drop point at each customer site as specified in the customer's instructions

Obtain proof of delivery (signature, photo or electronic confirmation) for every drop and ensure the delivery docket is completed and returned to the office

Manage partial deliveries, returns, credits and stock swaps in line with Mr Iceman procedures

Collect payment (where required) and reconcile cash, card or COD transactions at end of shift

Conduct a daily pre-start vehicle check (tyres, lights, fluids, freezer unit, load restraints, cleanliness) and record results in the driver log

Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and presentable inside and out

Follow the Mr Iceman Dry Ice Receiving and Dry Ice Handling SOPs at all times

About you

Current, unrestricted Australian driver's licence appropriate to the vehicle class (minimum Class C)

Demonstrated experience in commercial delivery driving, ideally in food, beverage or temperature-controlled product

Strong understanding of safe load restraint, manual handling and Chain of Responsibility obligations

Confident using a smartphone, mobile app or in-cab device for navigation, run management and proof of delivery

Excellent customer service manner and professional presentation

Reliable, punctual and able to start early-morning shifts

Physically capable of repetitive lifting (up to 20 kg) and working in cold and dry-ice environments

Right to work in Australia

Desirable: Forklift experience & license or willingness to obtain
