Responsibilities

• Load, transport, dispatch and deliver items to clients safely and on time.
• Plan delivery or pickup routes for efficient use of time and equipment.
• Adhere to time schedules and complete orders after dispatch/delivery.
• Obtain delivery confirmations from customers.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Follow transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Keep dispatch/delivery documents in order.
• Inspect vehicle before trips and perform basic maintenance need assessments.
• Assist with installations, equipment setup and minor repairs as required.
• Travel interstate and regionally as required.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Driver to join our team based in Arndell Park on a full-time permanent basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries to ensure smooth department operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading, transporting, dispatching and delivering items to clients in a safe and timely manner.
• Plan the delivery or pickup route to ensure economical use of time and equipment.
• Ensure adherence to time schedules.
• Review orders before and after dispatch/delivery to ensure they are complete.
• Ensure delivery confirmations from each customer.
• Provide an excellent standard of customer service at all times.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Ensure all documents relating to dispatch/deliveries are utilised.
• Conduct inspections of the vehicle before departing to deliver goods.
• Fuel vehicles as needed and perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment, and refer defects or repairs to the supervisor.
• Assist with installations, equipment setup and minor repairs as required.
• Interstate and Regional travel as required.

Skills/Experience Required

• Proven experience as a delivery driver.
• Warehouse operations experience. Familiarity with warehouse systems and practices.
