Job summary

Amentum seeks a Systems Specialist Logistics and Systems Engineering Database for the AFHQ project. The role supports the Defence program AIR 6002, focusing on the logistics aspects of FLIFS system elements and managing the project systems engineering database.

Work location can be RAAF Base Williamtown near Newcastle or Russell Offices, Canberra, with a Monday–Friday 40-hour week. Key duties include developing artefacts, presenting to committees, drafting ASDEFCON documents, and coordinating

Qualifications

• Analytical skills required; strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience in defence program management and systems engineering databases preferred.
• Ability to liaise with stakeholders and present to committees/boards.
• Experience with capability development and defence acquisition processes.
• Knowledge of ASDEFCON documentation and data item descriptions is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality logistics and systems engineering artefacts and a Logistics Management Plan.
• Represent VCDF at forums with stakeholders, operators and delivery agents.
• Draft ASDEFCON Data Item Descriptions and ASDEFCON DID.
• Contribute to the systems engineering database content and ensure accuracy.
• Interact with SME and project team members to support FLIFS delivery.
